  • What primer and top coat do you recommend for a large kitchen with bare hard wood and MDF?
    For the primer, we recommend 5590 production primer. 765 1K/2K Top Coat would be a great choice for the top coat. These products is high in solids and has good hiding power. Both 765 and 5590 can be tinted. We can also match any color.
  • How do I set up my HVLP for different types of coatings?
  • How many coats of primer and top coat should I apply?
    This will depend on the coating(s) you are using. Generally it is recommended to apply two coats of primer with light scuff sands between each coat then apply one top coat layer. For more information, visit our TDS (Technical Data Sheet) page for more information on specific coatings.
  • How much hardener/catalyst do I add to my 2K coating?

  • Do I need to thin Renner Wood Coatings top coats or primers?
    To obtain the best results, we recommend not thinning with water but to choose the best application conditions (ex. sprayer setup, climate conditions, etc.) that allow maximum atomization.   • How long will it take my order to arrive?
    For all products not including tinted coatings: We ship all orders UPS ground 3 - 5 business days. Typically, customers in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana will get their product the day after it is shipped. All other regions will receive their order within the 3 - 5 business day window depending on your proximity to our store. For tinted coatings: Turnaround time for tinted products ranges between 24 to 36 hours and depends on quantities & types of products ordered. This time frame does not include shipping. We request that you work these times into your project schedule.
